David is a Managing Partner of AMPLO Impact Investing, advising on strategies to drive inclusive and sustainable development.

David’s +14 years of experience in management consulting, investment baking, and venture capital expertise spans across several sectors, including agricultural value chains, technology for the BoP, and low-carbon sustainable development strategies.

Before Amplo, David worked as a fund manager at IKONGenesis, structuring investment vehicles for early-stage investing in LatAm. He also worked at Brook Venture Partners, Boston, investing in health-tech start-ups and as a strategy consultant at Accenture.

He holds an MBA from MIT, focusing on finance and sustainable development, an M.Sc. in Operations Research, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes.

He has served as an adjunct professor of Corporate Finance and Valuation at the Graduate School of Business at Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. He is a start-up mentor at accelerator programs such as Wayra and Bictia.
